It can be easily incorporated into new or existing sand. The fibers interweave with each other and create a web-like surface, which creates a stable and consistent footing.

Coir Fibre is a unique composition of durable coconut coir fibre precision cut to optimum length. The components of the fibre blend are purpose manufactured and selected for the desired properties required for an equestrian riding surface.

A high-level surface requires elasticity and stability as well as an ability to hold moisture without showing visible signs. The fibres also dramatically help trap valuable moisture to keep base sands firm. The coir fibre surface is simple and low maintenance.

All of our surface additives are designed to be mixed in to the sand base or existing surface. They are manufactured to improve stability, cushioning and reduce the depth of the ride condition. The additives can be installed using a simple harrow to spread and mix them, into the sand, making several passes to ensure even mixing. Once an even mix has been achieved the surface should be irrigated. The more water irrigated on installation the faster the surface will settle.

All dry sand and fibre surfaces require irrigation during dry periods to keep the base sand firm, prevent the surface from riding deep and to reduce the risk of the sand creating dust.

If a surface is very dry it is fine to harrow. The coir fibre surface is simple and low maintenance. Manure does not have to be removed, irrigate when surface is dry and harrow when needed.The coir fibre surface arena requires the same maintenance as normal sand arenas but with many more benefits.
